Chris -- I work with 3,500 agents across the US and Canada. I process about 1,500 new referrals every day including weekends. We are a very small company (50 employees) and the followup associated with this would be astronomical and would require numerous additional people to handle, thus elevating our expenses and the need for increasing our prices. But, aside from that, I have used other companies in the past that insisted on a commission split. I hated it!! Sending 30% of MY money to some entity out there with a website that emailed me a name and a phone number seems insane. If it were a peronal referral from a friend, maybe. But, an internet lead? No way. So, I built this company to make sure that agents did not have to give up their hard earned money at closing.
As far as the costs of the program....lets analyze that real quick. The base package is $2174. That is for 35 referrals. So, the average cost per referral is $62. Even if you only get 1 into a closing, you still make a profit. (You would have to sell a house that is at least $100,000 at 2.1% to overcome the costs and break even.)
