Hello Moto...Q, That Is...My New SmartPhone.

I recently wrote a post a while back about a couple of smart phones that I was looking at getting and requested some feedback from everyone about what they use and why.  Many of you responded and I certainly appreciated everything that everyone had to say.

Im happy to say that despite all of the people that told me to get a Blackberry (You know who you are...lol), I went out the other day and purchased the new Motorola Q9!  And, Im quite impressed!

The ease of operation is amazing!  (Windows software that operates just like your PC.)  The functions are simple to use...the MP3 capability is very nice.  The unlimited internet access and unlimited texting capability is a huge advantage.  The download speed is respectable and the fact that I can link it to my PC and seamlessly download applications is a major plus.  And the coverage Im getting with Alltel is amazing!  Even the plan was cheap!

All in all...Im very impressed!  And I would recommend a Moto Q to anyone that is in the market for a smartphone.

Nice new phone, I have been using a SmartPHONE for a few years and I must say, they get better and better with each operating system upgrade. The linking to an outlook account is a big time saver for me. I just could not do without it and I rely every day on that little phone to help keep me organized.

Rick -- Yeah, this is my first need for one...and I have been giddy as a schoolgirl with it so far.  One thing I neglected to mention in the post was the camera resolution.  For a cell phone, this thing is impressive.  Its 1.5 megapixel.  Now, my camera is 8 megapixel...but for a cell phone, the resolution is stunning.

I had one and I really liked it until I started having a problem with it.  While on the phone, I could hear the other person fine but everyone I talked to said it sounded like car horns blaring in the background.  Customer service was HORRIBLE.  Getting a replacement was a nightmare.  As we all know a Realtor without a cell phone is a disaster in the making.  I liked the phone but I choose to get rid of it than have to deal with that again.  If that has gotten better then I'm sure you will enjoy the phone because when it works ITS GREAT!

P.S.-- the funny part was when I finished this comment the graphic I had to type at the bottom was blackberry. LOL

Kimberly -- I have never had a problem with my service provider at all.  In fact, they let me get this phone, a 2 gig memory card, a car charger, and allowed me to buy out my previous contract with them for a total of $139.  The phone alone retails for $400.  :-)

Janis -- I cant use an Iphone up here.  We dont have AT&T.  Otherwise, Im pretty sure I would have gone that route.

Hi Clint,

I need a new one too but don't think my Ekey system includes this model in those I can use.

Paddy -- Im unsure about the Q and the Ekey system.  Since Im not an agent, I really didnt need to take that into consideration.  LOL....So, thats a valid point for the other agents that are considering a new phone.  Thanks!

Ok, Paddy...this one is for you.  AllTel does not have any information on the Moto Qc that states that it is compatable with the Supre eKey system.  However, the phone has only been out for about 3 weeks.  So, Id be interested in hearing if someone has tried it or not...At this point, its a confirmed mystery.

Clint - I CAN'T use iPhone here because I DO have ATT.  How weird is that?  Glad you like the Q - I have a Treo and I sleep with it!

Leesa -- I thought Iphone was ATT compatable...interesting.

Your timing is perfect. Or is this my timing? Either way, I've been looking to replace my MDA for 2 years. I know, I'm a little slow.  But the features on the Q9 sounds like what I've been looking for. Here's to timing!
