Quote of the Day

I love quotations from people from around the world that prove a good point.  This one, I think, is one of the best quotes about making your point that I have ever read.

"If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver.  Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time -- a tremendous whack."  - Winston Churchill

I now return you to your regularly scheduled blogging.

Clint,

Very funny...but then there's the counter, "never drive a tack with a sledge hammer"...! LOL, Thanks,   Fran

Hi Clint, My husband actually works in the pile driving business.  They can pack quite a punch there.  Good quote I will have to share with him.

Clint - good ol' Sir Winston can provide a lot of quotes of the day. On another social networking site I used to have a quote of the day series and either Winnie or Menken would have been the top quotes.

Thanks

Good Post.. I've always liked the one attributed (I believe) to Ted Turner..

" Lead, Follow or get out of my way"

Always sounded like someone determined and focused !

L&F -- Determination and Focus are two of the keys to success..gotta love it.

Consistency is imperative in the real estate market.  We must make an imprint on our clients and consistantly call, drop by, mail out...stay in front of your clients routinely!

Posted by Team Honeycutt (Allen Tate) about 1 year ago

Honeycutt Team -- You are exactly right!  Studies have shown that it takes 3 points of contact for any comsumer to remember who you are...and 7 points of contact for them to decide to "purchase" the product.  In real estate, the product is YOU.  So, the more contact you have with your potential customers, the better.

Excellent point Clint. That has to happen especially when talking in front of an audience.

Posted by Scott Mazza (Consumer's Title of Southern California) about 1 year ago

Scott -- Audience...good point.  But, I was thinking it applied at any point in time.  If you have a point to make, then make it.  Even if your audience is only one person...
